TOP-F was a hot water world in the TOP system, with massive geothermal vents cracking across its crust, and magma constnatly spewing upward into its oceans. It existed on the outer edge of the habitable zone; but boasted a tropical and, at times, oppressive hothouse climate, thanks to constant volcanic eruptions and tectonic activity. The extreme theothermal activity of TOP-F was due to its unique birth defect of having two cores inside of it. These two cores were constantly grinding against one another inside of the planet, generating intense, steamy friction that sent geysers of white steam erupting out of the cracks in the crust. The planet was home to the occassional scientist crew, although no native species, save for the odd bacteria, could be found on its surface. This was because TOP-F's tectonic plates clashed and tore apart so frequently that they practically floated in the liquid mantle, constantly melting, morphing, pressing against each other, and even, at times flipping. Mountain ranges rose and fell in a matter of days. Great seas opened and closed between sunrise and sunset. This made permament habitation practically impossible; much less cartographic endeavors. There could be no map of TOP-F that would not expire within a week.
