A notable pum peddler who operated in the Eastern New York area was Christopher Shoe. (colloquially and criminally known as Shoe Nice.)

He was a pum peddler fugitive who stole so many shoes that all of New York ( ran ) out of shoes. He was arrested and tried for Pum-Pedagogical treason, the highest form of treason, and was executed by Albany. The betrayal of one’s purpose as a Pum Peddler, the violation of this sacred duty, was punishable only by the most violent and despicable punishments.
