However, this action was not appreciated by the ecosystem of Greenland, which immediately sent vines out to thrust this advance back into the sea. Thusly, Erickson wrote that Greenland would be uninhabitable, and left. When he returned home to the Vikings, he informed them Greenland was a desolate wasteland covered in snow and ice, and warned his fellow men never to go there. And so they did not.
