A fractured and mountainous continent, Calliste had numerous smaller Hobgob Kingdoms and Factions who were constantly at war with one another. They all practiced different versions of the same religion, Hobgobism, but instead of embracing one another for their similarities (in that they worshipped the same gods), the Callistian Hobgobs elected to burn one another at the stake and constantly pillage and plunder each other. Different Hobgob factions such as "Hobprotestantism", "Hobcatholicism", and "Hobmethodistium" arose as dominant warring forces in the Callistian power structure. Because of this constant religious infighting, the Blum Trolls tended to avoid the wretched isles of Calliste and elected to let them fight one another to the death.
