Over time, they began to evolve into a new species, and these became known as the Marrinians (despite never setting foot on the city above their caves). They began exporting their soil to the agricultural world of [[Jyykis]], and this trade became a staple in the economy of the Underreach. Soon enough, though, the Bwemer (accidentally) discovered the Underreach, and a Grand Plan of Attack was concieved to halt this competing economy from existing.

			== Rotten Bwemer Grand Plan of Attack ==
			The [[Bwemer]] had rotten ideas. After the murder of the God [[Kroasis]], they were riding high. The Bwemer felt invincible. They decried the gods as false deities (fatal error) and began worshipping their king as a divine entity. King Rist IV gladly accepted this new promotion, and, after hearing about the thriving hub of completely alien life located directly underneath Marrin, he declared that the Underreach must be destroyed, in order for Marrin to prosper. He opened his elements catalogue, and turned to page 80- tracing the massive 'Hg' on the page with his stubby [[Bwemer]] fingers.

			== Battle of Marrin ==
			Battalions of [[Bwemer]] troops invaded the Underreach, but found themselves struggling to penetrate the defenses of the ferocious Marrinian soldiers. The Soldiers could see in complete darkness, as they had evolved to be proficient in the absence of light. So, several cave-ins were executed, and the Bwemer soldiers, with all of their advanced technologies, found themselves completely defenseless against the Marrinians. Bracing for bloodshed, the Bwemer stood their ground. Much to their surprise, however, the Marrinian High Priestess approached them, with a lantern in hand. She explained that the Underreach was as deserving to live as the Bwemer, and to destroy the Marrinian civilization would be to exterminate an entire species from the face of the Omniverse.

			The Bwemer commander considered this for a moment, but his steely resolve kicked in after several seconds. He grabbed the lantern from the Priestess and impaled her with a technosword, killing her. By lanternlight, Commander Tist XXV directed his troops to blow up the boulders which had trapped them in, and after several days (and numerous hordes of Marrinian attackers being slaughtered), Commander Tist and his men escaped. .

			== Mercuric Horrendous Plot ==
			A large vat of Mercury was collected, with sources from across the Omniverse. The vat was roughly the size of a small moon, and held roughly 30% of all Omniversal mercury. It was poured into the Underreach, and nearly all Marrinians were killed. The Underreach was then sealed off, and all [[Bwemer]] were forbidden from ever discussing this matter again.
