It is unknown when Amonger joined the Combine Armed Forces, but he was a well-known and feared commander by the time [[The great META war\|the Great META War]] erupted. Amonger took part in several battles including the invasion of Las Vegas, the Lunar Orbit Conflicts, and most infamously the Sickle Cell Campaign.
