Tailgate toffee was the prototype and original version of toffee that was discontinued in 49 BB one year after James T. Offie invented toffee and during the first year of business.
In the first year, Toffee & Co. experienced financial issues and were forced to rely on infamous but highly affordable courier services like AllXpress, that were allegedly transporting drugs internationally alongside their commercial courier business and by using the same equipment. These same trucks belonging to AllXpress and other affordable courier companies were known to tailgate cars during transporation, causing many road accidents. This situation led to millions of complaints by citizens which made the bad reputation Toffee & Co. and AllXpress both had up until the Great Meta War when both companies collapsed.
The Tailgate toffee was described to taste much more sweet than regular toffee and made consumers feel irritable and aggressive after consumption. The original recipe for Tailgate Toffee was made illegal by the Waifurian Empire purely based on a disagreeance regarding taste and not based on the fact that it was a health concern.
