The Great META War

The Great META War was a large scale interplanetary war that took place, sporadically, from 200 B.B. to 1 B.B. During this 200-year conflict, many sentients lost their lives.

The Great META War was named after the social media site META (beforehand, it had been known simply as 'the Horrible War'). This was because the residents of Earth took to streaming attacks and battles live over their smartphones, instead of running from the interdimensional warfare in front of them.

Catalyst

When the Australian Government found out about China's secret research facility inside of Uluru in 201 B.B., they were understandably upset. They asked China politely to vacate the premises, to which China responded with several Nuclear Warheads. This led to a small conflict between Australia and China, which eventually drew every major global power into the fray. The Combine, seeing that Earth's nations were weakened, decided to try to invade the planet during this time of weakness. This was a rotten blunder at the hands of Combine Security Official G-4323, and thus began the two-hundred year Great META War.

End

The war ended in a very stable and normal way, and it was all thanks to the Board of Waifuria and Donald Trump. No other party was involved in this. Do not read the article about Mr. Nefarious. Mister who? Exactly.
