The Glip Orb Collective was a grand assembly of approximately 34,000 orbs, ranging in size from a small golf ball to a respectable moon.
The Glip Orb Collective were scattered across the Omniverse, but never stayed apart for long. The Glip Orb Collective met annually on February 10th. On this day, they assembled in the vacant Sector XCI-DDC-218B of the Andromeda Galaxy, where the Orbs exchanged various stories of their misadventures across the Omniverse. Whichever Orb was voted to have the most interesting story would be burned alive as punishment, as the other Orbs watched along jovially, cracking jokes and exchanging pleasantries.
This Rotten habit continued until there were only two Orbs left in the collective, who both aimed to kill each other. But first, stories were shared.
Orb #4 shared a tale about a mysterious invader coming to a nearby planet and accidentally annihilating the entire ecosystem.
Orb #23 shared an equally dubious story, in which a rogue planet containing a massive dragon struck and destroyed a Combine naval fleet near his station.
The two were at odds about who had the better story. They attempted to convince one another their stories were better, complimenting the plot structure and shock factor.
Eventually, the argument became so heated (literally) that both Orbs began to crack under pressure (literally). Both Orbs exploded simultaneously, unable to reach a conclusion, and the Glip Orb Collective was dead.
