Born to a Mexican fisherman and a Combine Footsoldier, Francis was guaranteed to have a rather unconventional childhood. However, at a very young age, his childhood became even more tumultuous. A mysterious entity appeared outside of his doorstep one day, and beckoned him into a time portal. Francis spent the rest of his formative years in a stasis chamber, until he reached maturity. At this point, he was instructed on how to properly care for and Bathe the Legume, and became it's primary care provider.
