Father Snow was a very socially inept creature, being unable to speak in any dialect besides very basic Portuguese. Residing in the an icy asteroid in the deep reaches of space, Father Snow's mystic energy kept the Omniverse at a steady temperature of absolute zero. Without Father Snow's regulation of the Omniverse, it would have imploded several minutes after its inception.
