The Holographic reconstruction of the United States Capitol, which acted a centerpiece to the city.

Syndor City often referred to as the 'Heart of Waifuria', was a postmodern high-tech 'utopia' city, and the largest city on Earth, which was built on the site of Washington D.C. during the time of the Waifurian Empire.

City of Ghosts

Syndor City was commissioned by the Waifurian Imperial Historium as a monument to the past, intended to honor (or at least, appear to honor) the Americans and Aeternians who worked hard to build the countries that the Empire was founded on. Replicas of ancient American landmarks dotted the dystopian cityscape, including a holographic Capitol dome, a solid platinum Statue of Liberty, and a gigantic, floating Washington Monument.

A densely populated Urban Center, Snydor city was to the Waifurian Empire what New York City had been to the United States. It was the tourist capital of the Empire, and was also the commercial center of the galaxy. The Waifurian Imperial Army had a strong presence here, and the Syndor City Police (SCP) were one of the largest law enforcement entities in the Local Supercluster, having over four hundred thousand active duty police officers at any given point. Hundreds of civilians were arrested daily, often for minor offenses, such as marijuana, crack, or Reveal Candy posession. They were all thrown into the Syndor Superprison, which housed, at maximum, roughly twenty million inmates (usually it was near full capacity). Of course, no civilians who were rich or famous were ever arrested by the SCP.

Denizens

A combination police and surveillance state, Syndor City was the very definition of a 'dystopia'- yet, for some reason, people from across the Omniverse were attracted to it, and continued to move there and do business in the bustling imperial core. Originally, the city had been constructed as an exclusive city for only the rich and wealthy; however, they soon discovered they needed someone to do all of the things they didn't want to; so, the poor and impoverished of the Empire (roughly 75%) began flooding in, quickly building Syndor City to having one of most successful infrastructures and one of the largest economies in Omniversal History.

By 2000 AB, Syndor City was inhabited by well over 10 billion people. This accounted for roughly 1/15th of the entire population of the Earth.

Syndor City's citizens were, for the most part, rather poor and lived in abject squalor, often selling food or goods at make-shift stands on Street Layer 6, hoping to catch the attention of one of the few rich Syndorians who might be willing to spare a Cornpop (Waifurian 5 Cent Piece).

Syndor City Police Force

There were many underworld factions and gangs in Syndor City, but perhaps the most prolific was the Syndor City Police itself. The Police force was, unsurprisingly, totally morally corrupt. Police officers were required by Bidenary Edict to reach a certain quota of arrests each month; that number being 60 per month. So, many innocent civilians were arrested, tried, and convicted for drug possession, despite never actually touching or abusing a substance.

2094 Crime Bill

This tough-on-crime policy was a result of the Waifurian 2094 Crime Bill (74 AB), which the Brainrot Embodiment penned with the explicit goal to "do everything except hang someone for jaywalking". Indeed, it worked, as roughly 1% of the population of the Waifurian Empire was soon incarcerated, on average, in the years following this bill. By 2020 AB, the Waifurian Empire's incarceration rates had skyrocketed to 15%-20%, with the number hovering around 40% of the population in Syndor City. This insane incarceration problem led to the Syndor Revolution of 2020 AB, which resulted in the SCP being severely 'diminished' (manually) and the Syndor Superprison being blown up by the Syndorian populous.
