One of the first major battles in the Great META War was the Invasion of Las Vegas, in which Combine Admiral Amonger’s strategy was to block inter-orbit trade from reaching the city. This proved highly successful, to which Amonger ordered a day of light orbital bombardment of the city as celebration. Once the bombardment had finished, ODST squadrons were dropped to occupy the city’s casinos. The city was soon reclaimed by M.T.O. Forces, but Amonger and the Combine had made off with the city’s entire supply of revenue which was found inside the casinos’ gambling machines.
