'Because it cried', was a famous and well received series of images that were created sometime between 2000AB - 3500AB, (creator unknown).

The series featured various pictures of human infants, with the caption text "because it cried" in each image. The first volume of the series ultimately captured the innocence and tenderness of an infant human, and displayed it in an artistic way.
