Yevelin Quantinium
More actions
Yevilin Quantinium was a Mondian prisoner and oracle who resided on Mond within his prison cell. He was something of an Omniversal anomaly, as he seemed to have gone complete insane but most he encountered seemed to find some meaning in his incoherent babblings. He lived a largely uneventful life, surviving off of offerings given to him by Omniversal passerby and only accepted payment for his “wisdom” in either food or drink. Notably, his favorite drink was JF Sweet’s Cherry Cola.
Early Life
Not much is known about Yevilin’s early life, as he gives a different life story each time. This includes the story of how his people’s civilization fell, regrettably resulting in their history being largely left behind. It is likely that he was some form of court jester, as his clothing suggests.
G-Man Nudgiums
The validity of this claim is unclear, but one of the few consistent things Yevilin talks about is his connection to an unknown G-Man variant who “Opened the gateway” for Yevilin, allowing him access to the secrets of the Omniverse. It is unknown if this or the impossibly-long time spent in isolation is what drove Yevilin mad.
Contact with Rick Hernia
Inarguably Yevilin’s most influential role in the Omniverse was his brief conversation with Rick Hernia. The following conversation took place shortly after the death of Director Phobos aboard Waifuria Prime.
Scouring the Omniverse for further enlightenment, Rick eventually came across the rogue moon Mond which he decided to explore.
During his exploration of the moon, Rick came across a strange tunnel dug into the side of a mountain. (Pictured below)
Against his better judgment, Rick entered the cave and found it to be quickly blocked off by bars constructed of an incredibly durable metal. Rick attempted to break the bars, but only made an incredibly loud sound which reverberated off the walls of this “cave.” Suddenly, Rick heard a voice emanate from beyond the bars.
Y: “A visitor for me, me?”
R: “Hello? Is someone there?”
Y: “I sense your strength, stranger…”
Y: “Yet you seem lost, lost.”
R: “Funny hearing that from the guy imprisoned on a rogue moon. How’d you end up out here anyway?”
Y: “Questions require input!”
R: “What kind of input?”
Y: “The delicious kind, of course.”
R: “You’re asking for food?”
Y: “Of course, of course!”
Rick then slides a package of JF Sweets-brand lemon-flavored astronaut ice cream through the bars to which Yevilin scurried from the darkness to gorge upon.
R: “You feel more talkative now?”
Y: “Payment is payment, no matter how crack-infused!”
R: “Right. Anyways, what are you doing out here exactly?”
Y: “In here I am free, free!”
R: “You’re free in a prison?”
Y: “Fool! All the world is a prison.”
R: “How so?”
Y: “The one known as G. He has shown me.”
R: “Shown you what?”
Y: “That those not of this world, yet its creator, have fallen, fallen.”
R: “You mean the Employers?”
Y: “Names hold no value here, friend.”
Y: “They have succumbed to impulsiveness, and as such neglect their creation.”
R: “They have plans to make things better for everyone.”
Y: “For beings so powerful, why need a plan?”
R: “They have their restrictions they must abide by.”
Y: “Oh so blind you are, friend.”
R: “Quite the contrary.”
Y: “How so?”
R: “I’ve begun studying the Force. The Legume has shared its power with me.”
Yevilin only responded with cackling.
Y: “I should have known it was you sooner, Employer lapdog!”
R: “Excuse me?”
Y: “Rick Hernia, Chosen One of the Employers! What a joke!”
Y: “You slew the Violator but do not see his reasoning.”
R: “You mean Phobos?”
Y: “Soon, friend, terror will rise from the plane between planes. A nightmare will awaken in the heart of the Omniverse. I only wonder, can you stop it?”
R: “Of course I can. The Employers themselves have blessed me.”
Y: “If your destiny is their plan, how much of your success is your own?”
Rick was unsure how to respond to him. His faith in the Employer’s plan had been shaken by Phobos’ words, and he did not feel listening to the ramblings of an insane prisoner would benefit him much more. He decided it would be best to leave for now.
R: “I think I’ve heard my share of this.”
Y: “A marvelous thing, ignorance. You cannot shake the sins of those who grant you power so long as you hold it, Employer lapdog.”
Rick heard no more of Yevilin’s words, and if he had, he did not bother to document them. It seems Yevilin was somehow aware of the future resurrection of Phobos, and the horrible events the Violator of All Reality’s return would entail.
