Hungarian Nanobug Jitters

The Hungarian Nanobug Jitters was a usually lethal disease contracted by malicious nanobugs entering one's reproductive system. They would begin vibrating violently, until vital tissue ruptured and the victim died of internal bleeding.

Blunder

Vice Emperor Kamala Harris had a massive research lab constructed on Waifuria Prime, where she researched nanotechnology. She created a microscopic device capable of entering the bloodstream and repairing cataracts and damaged eye tissue, for which she was nominated to win a Nobel Peace Prize (she was beat out by Geoffrey Eckstein, who received the prize for unknown reasons).

Kamala’s eye repair nanodrone, however, began replicating itself due to a Combine protocol in its synthetic DNA. It returned to Earth and began wreaking havoc on the population of Hungary, and later Oklahoma. in an effort to coverup this Mummy Blunder, the Waifurian Empire reported this as “West Nile Virus”.

The Hungarian Nanobug Jitters soon spread across the world, bringing Earth into a state of pandemic not seen since the Combine-19 virus. The Hungarian Nanobug Jitters began spreading across the Omniverse on Waifurian military vessels. Thus, the Hungarian Nanobug Jitters was the first Omniversal plague, and also the first disease responsible for killing 1 trillion sentients (and counting)<ref>The Hungarian Nanobug Jitters breached Portland Oregon, which still exists (unlike the rest of the Omniverse). The pandemic is ongoing and the Eye of Sauron has instituted a hell-wide mask mandate, as well as social distancing measures. </ref>.
