Jane Hondale was a woman who lived in Calgary, Alberta in Canada. She was born in 89 B.B. to two parents, Makenna and Serene Hondale. Her parents were both reprentatives of the Women's Fashion Guild of Alberta, where they were responsible for dictating the provincial dress code. Her mothers provided her with Gucci and Louis Vuitton from the young age of 3 days old. Her first ever garment was a Louis Vuitton belt.

Jane attended Calgary middle school (she did not go to elementary school as her mother Makenna paid off the school superintendent in exchange for expensive clothing). She graduated high school 37th out of 200 students and was not the Valedictorian.

Driver's License

edit edit source

Jane spent the next years rigorously practicing for her Driver's test. After she had completed the minimum three years of time for the Driver's Licence, she applied for the Licence; she was unfortunately denied. Jane was understandably upset. Her mother Serene reassured her that this was no big deal, and tried to console her; however, at that moment, they received an urgent phone call.

Makenna was about to give birth! With no time to explain this to her daughter, Serene rushed to her station wagon; however, she slipped on Eternal Canadian Ice and broke both of her hands. She turned to Jane and gave her a reassuring look. Jane took a deep breath, and hopped into the station wagon. It was her time to shine.

Brandon Hondale

edit edit source

Jane threw her fourteen Louis Vuitton purses into the backseat and stepped on this gas, with her limp-handed mother in the passenger seat. On the way, Serene told her that she was going to have a baby brother. Jane was so excited by this that she almost caused a pileup by running through a red light. They arrived at the hospital and were able to watch Makenna slowly and painfully give birth to the newest addition to the family, Brandon Hondale. Despite their twenty-one year age gap, Jane and Brandon began bonding instantly, and Jane fashioned one of her purses into a onesie for her baby brother.

Lost in the Wilderness

edit edit source

A few years after her brother was born, Jane took a trip to Albuquerque with some friends from high school. The group went on a trip to the To'Hajiilee Indian Reservation, where Jane became disoriented and lost. With only her sundress, two purses, a Zippo lighter, and a pack of cigarettes, Jane found herself completely and totally alone.

Jane's only experience with the desert wilderness was what she had seen on TV. So, her first idea was to gather kindling in order to start a fire and keep herself warm, as the Sun was setting. She found numerous dead shrubs (and one very angry scorpion). She settled into a rocky outcrop and built herself a rudamentary fire, using her lighter and a cigarette. She fell asleep in the open air, but woke up several hours later, shivering. Using the sharp bottom edge of her lighter, she cut up her purses and tied them together with dried grass and bits of fabric. She fell back asleep, and awoke the next day with several mysterious insects in her proximity.

Crusade Against Insects

edit edit source

Jane began to become annoyed with the insects in her outcrop. She ripped another bit of fabric off of her purse blanket and, using a sturdy dried stick, fashioned herself a makeshift flyswatter. Jane figured she'd probably die if she tried to venture back to civilization in the sweltering desert sun, so she laid low that day, swatting insects and licking her own sweat (unclear why she did this). By sunset, Jane hadn't seen an insect in over two hours, and felt incredibly accomplished. However, she awoke in the middle of the night with a Scorpion only two feet away from her face. Jane slowly reached over to her flyswatter, and attempted to swat the scorpion. Unfortunately, she missed it, and the scorpion pinched and subsequently stung her. Jane, panicking, gathered her blanket and, knowing her only hope was to run, began blindly running through the New Mexico desert, illuminated by the full moon. Eventually, with a combination of fatigue, hunger, and scorpion venom taking its toll on her, Jane collapsed in the sand.

A Dire Situation

edit edit source

Jane awoke, bleary eyed and achey, in the sweltering sands. She felt incredibly ill, but knew her only hope was to keep walking. Jane experienced a mirage in this moment. She saw her mother Makenna giving birth once again, only this time, a fully-grown version of Brandon came out. "You can make it, Sister. You have to make it. I need you.", the Mirage of Brandon said. This mirage helped Jane power through her dangerous journey. As luck would have it, an Albuquerque police helicopter happened to be flying over the desert, and spotted her down below. The pilot reportedly was appalled by the 'hideous bumbling patchwork of high-quality durable fabric' he saw before him. The pilot descended and rescued Jane.

Standing Trial & Coma

edit edit source

The Pilot delivered Jane to the Albuquerque Emergency Care Facility, where she was put onto an IV and given anasthesia. She had received a severe sunburn during her days in the desert and her skin was flaking very badly. Jane could barely move by the time she got to the hospital, due to being badly dehydrated. She was put into a medically induced coma. Once Makenna and Serene were contacted, they flew out from Albuquerque to be with her, with baby Brandon in tow. Jane's friends, who had been worried sick, also came to visit her at the hospital, where they were questioned by authorities as to why they had abandoned their friend in the desert.

Makenna and Serene were also very upset with Jane's friends, and sought to sue the girls for leaving Jane in the desert. Ultimately, Jane's friends paid 3 million dollars in damages to the Hondale family, and apologized profusely to Jane and her parents. Jane, however, was still unconscious nearly 6 months after getting lost in the desert, and was unable to respond to her friends' apologies.

Jane awoke from her coma a few months later. She saw her parents standing over her, holding Brandon, and she immediately reached out to hug them. However, she wasn't aware of the various IV's and tubes attached to her body, and ended up setting off the medical alert system when the heart monitor became detached. As the medical staff rushed into the room, Brandon uttered his first word- "Jane".

Jane spent the next few months in physical therapy, and was officially discharged three months later. Jane had experienced a loss of motor control during this time, however, and was legally required by Canadian law to apply for her Driver's License again, due to her extended period of unconsciousness.

Driver's License Attempt 2

edit edit source

Just as she had struggled with her first driver's license, Jane found herself having a difficult time with the second attempt. She eventually passed on her first (second) try, although she had been very nervous during the whole time. She thought of the mirage she'd seen of Brandon in the desert in order to center herself.

Accountant Friends

edit edit source

Some time later, Jane was hired at J.F. Sweets' Calgary branch as an accountant. She would work for J.F. Sweets for the next 30 years, and would retire comfortably after her tenure there. Jane met several lifelong friends during her time at J.F. Sweets, including:

  • Marcus M. Herrings (5231 H
  • Franklin George Roone
  • Lynn Hiss Chatham
  • Susan Plato Gomez
  • Myles Martinez
  • Jake Black
  • Whitney Cathingbone Ristle
  • Edward Smerry

These individuals would be her friends for much of the remainder of Jane's life, and many of them would eventually live in the same retirement community, Green Falls.
