Nut was a horrific creature which prowled the American South, preying on innocent Peanut Farmers. It was thought that Nut was the spirit of Peanuts Past, who came back each October 21st to haunt and immolate the farmers which had slaughtered so many innocent peanuts in years past. Nut was a local legend, and the tale of Nut was used to make children stay inside during the month of October.
