Template:(FINAL) Government Entity Ohio, otherwise known as the Ohioan Republic, was a small Republic which existed in central North America. It was bordered on all sides by the United States of America. Ohio's capital was Columbus before it was destroyed. It was the only country on Earth to officially side with the Combine in the Great META War, a decision which ultimately proved to have been beneficial for the country's economy. Ohio prospered for hundreds of years after the war due to its strong alliance with the Combine.
Alliance with the Combine
Ohio formed an alliance with the Combine after a Combine Advisor slaughtered the entire government of Ohio in 199 B.B. and installed a puppet government, which immediately seceded from the union. Then-President of the United States James Monroe attempted to send U.S. troops in to quell the situation; however, the U.S. was unable to penetrate the Combine defenses for several decades after the secession.
