Sheriff Grey was a Vilmarian mercenary and law enforcement official made famous for rebelling against the OmniStar Corporation's occupation of Backpacker's Lookout. He had been enslaved on Vilmar as a goldpowder miner; but during the fall of the Combine Empire, escaped the planet with his family and relocated to Orra 20, where he founded Backpacker's Lookout originally as a home for his family, from which their hospitality led to the development of a proper settlement famed around the Omniverse.
