The Tragedian

Description:
The Tragedian was an anomalous entity who claimed to have originated from an entirely separate Omniverse, the fate of which is unknown, although they believe it to have been destroyed. The Tragedian seemingly possessed an unnatural amount of knowledge pertaining to the uppermost echelons of reality and the purpose behind every fundamental aspect of the creation of life, regardless of tiering.
History:
The Tragedian’s most prominent role in Omniversal history was their providing of shelter to, and training of, Rick Hernia following his battle with Hubert Jenkins Reservoir II which, as most Omniversal historians know, resulted in near-irreparable damage to the Temple of Rannjoe and the deaths of countless Warshippers leading Rick to enter a self-imposed exile so that no other being would have to fear destruction by his enemies solely from his presence.

The following is a recorded sample taken by Rick Hernia during his stay within The Tragedian’s pocket realm within the Nowhere.
R: Why is it you called me here?
T: You were looking for a place to hide.
R: I appreciate it but it feels like you're not doing this solely out of the kindness of your heart.
T: Kindness is a rarity in our realities, Chosen. I provide what I can to those who seek it.
R: Right…
T: Do you distrust me, Chosen?
R: Well, no offense, but we haven't known each other for very long.
T: Quite the contrary, Chosen. Quite the contrary.
R: And that means?
T: You and I are more alike than you realize, Chosen. Exiles of reality itself.
R: You mean the Nowhere?
T: No mere dimensional mesh could hold such a title. No. I speak of what lies beyond what you refer to as an “Omniverse.”
R: The Outervoid? Where The Employers reside?
T: If that is what you wish to call it, yes.
R: Do you come from there?
T: In a sense.
R: Strange, The Employers never said anything about you.
T: The Trinity is not a difficult group to evade. They are blinded by vice.
R: Trinity? I've never heard of them referred to as that before.
T: The Trinity is the title of the current creators of a certain reality. However, this title is not theirs alone. The beings you refer to are only the most recent in a very long list of beings that have shared that title before.
R: Pardon?
T: Yours is not the first of the Outervoidian’s creations. Before them was another, and another before them, and so on and so forth. It is part of their very life cycle.
R: So if there's been Employers before these ones then…
T: Your conclusions are correct, Chosen.
R: How do I know you're telling the truth?
T: Before you stands the proof.
R: You're from another Omniverse?
T: Correct.
R: Then… what happened to your world?
T: Destroyed long ago.
R: And why is that?
T: Because of my war with the Duosol.
R: Duosol?
T: The sole survivors of a long-dead race within my realm. We warred against each other for what felt like eons.
R: How could just the three of you destroy an entire Omniverse?
T: In our war against one another, they uncovered the Nexus Point of our reality.
R: So, something similar to the Legume?
T: Precisely the same. The instrument of The Trinity's creation. Both mine, and yours.
R: And what was this Nexus Point like?
T: Ours was referred to as the Atlas. It was a massive machine responsible for running the entire Omniverse. The only issue is that when the Duosol discovered it, it was on the verge of dying. The Bishop cared not whether the Omniverse lived or died, their civilization was the only thing that mattered to him and it had long since ceased to exist. The Shifter, however, was determined to see reality continue. She elected to reset our Omniverse, in order to save everything from annihilation.
R: And you?
T: I sought to control all of reality. A hubristic goal. If I had only known then what I know now, perhaps my world would have survived.
R: Which of you had their way?
T: In a sense, all of us. The Shifter commenced the resetting of reality, but I had hidden a piece of myself into their technology long ago, and I used that to integrate myself with the Atlas just before it reset. Thus giving me full control of the entirety of the new realm. It eludes me as to why my Trinity did not intervene in this.
R: And what did you do with that power?
T: Our war had bestowed upon me a terrible anger, but I knew I had to entrap them somewhere. Together they were still powerful enough to threaten me. I relied on the anger of The Bishop to seal them within a time loop, tied to the death of a certain individual they were bound to by the very laws of existence to encounter. Every time the two of them slayed this individual, their pocket of reality would reset. The Shifter, however, was far smarter than I initially gave her credit for. Her memory persisted across time, and it was because of her that they uncovered my plan and remembered the old reality. The Bishop’s anger now directed towards me, they spared the individual. Something my simulacrum had not accounted for, and all of reality collapsed, sending all three of us into what you call the Outervoid.
R: Do you believe the Duosol continue to survive?
T: I believe there is an equal chance of their survival and their perishing. On one hand, they had a miraculous will to endure against all odds. On the other, however, they were not granted the divine status I had been bestowed by my integrating of the Atlas. I am also compelled to believe that if they had survived, they would have undoubtedly found me by now. What that would mean for us three, however, lies beyond my knowledge.
R: This is… a lot to take in.
T: I understand, Chosen.
R: You said you drifted through the Outervoid before you made your way here, right?
T: Correct.
R: Did you see anything out there?
T: It is where I learned of the Outervoidians and their cycles. And also of IT.
R: It?
T: I dare not speak IT’s true name. IT would undoubtedly hear me use IT’s name, and then disassemble the very concept of my being.
R: Is it what created the Outervoidians?
T: I believe so.
R: I think I know what you speak of.
T: IT has intervened in this realm a number of times. The most recent being against the one you call Phovus.
R: I figured. He had nearly killed me and The Employers.
T: Truly remarkable. His power, that is. Although, nothing from our realms could ever possibly challenge IT.
R: Do you… Do you think there are more things like it out there?
T: It is certain. I have not peeked into IT’s realm often, I feel as if anything that views IT and others like IT are being watched in return, but from my brief perspective into IT’s reality, IT appears to be one of many. We shall refer to THEM as The Powers That Be.
R: So these “Powers That Be.” What do they want with us?
T: They contemplate THEIR existence, and create from it. Same as IT created the Outervoidians, the Outervoidians created us. The only ones that do not create, are the lowest of beings in our realms. They lack the power to do so.
R: So, if it created the Outervoidians, do you think the other Powers That Be have their own Outervoids? And their respective Outervoidians?
T: It is likely.
R: Is it right to be afraid of knowing about this?
T: There is no point in fearing The Powers That Be. If THEY wished to unmake us, there is nothing we could possibly do to stop THEM.
R: That's comforting…
T: Do not fall into despair, Chosen. There is a reason I allowed you to know this.
R: And that would be?
T: I wish to prevent the fracturing of this reality, as mine has.
R: Will I have to face something like that soon? Something capable of threatening the entire Omniverse?
T: There exists, in your reality, an object of immeasurable irreality. A byproduct of the one you call Phovus’ hubris. I cannot locate its exact location, as its improbable nature distorts its location in space and time. However, you must prepare. I feel this object will very soon threaten the very existence of your reality.
R: Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Master.
T: You must become stronger with haste, Chosen, if your realm is to survive.
