Zerrion from space. The massive windstorms are visible prominently here, across the entire planet.

Zerrion was a large terrestrial planet located near the core of the Milky Way Galaxy. Known for its blood-blue oceans and crystal-clear skies, Zerrion became an extremely influential foothold for the Waifurian Empire, and was a central hub of the Empire’s dealings. Zerrion had seventeen moons, quite a lot for a terrestrial planet, and these caused massive tsunamis and typhoons to dominate the atmosphere.

Zerrion was home to two rival species, the Zerri and the Min.

Zerri

The Zerri were the natives of the planet, having evolved from a group of Bwemer slaves in the ancient past. The Zerri were a highly advanced technological civilization, being one of the only cultures in the Omniverse who still understood and regularly utilized the technological marvels of the Bwemer. The Zerri formed an alliance with the Waifurian Empire when they arrived, building a palace for Waifurian General Hal Goldbert. Hal Goldbert, an infamously bloodthirsty general, respected the Zerri, and never killed a single one.

Hal Goldbert, in return for the hospitality of the Zerri, elected not to conquer the planet; instead, a diplomatic alliance was formed at Zurisma, with Zerrion being an independent entity under the protection of the Waifurian Empire. The Zerri High Queen, Asanka, allowed free trade on the planet, and instituted a ban on the Combine, cutting off a major trade route for the waning empire.

Min

The Min, on the other hand, were a parasitic group of unintelligent savages, leeching off of the successes and achievements of the Zerri. Originally hailing from the rubble of a dwarf exoplanet, they arrived on Zerri via asteroid impact. The Zerri generously offered the Min a place to stay, and sought to teach them in the ways of their culture.

Instead, the Min ran off into the hills and started procreating madly, doubling their population in two hours. The Zerri government began trying to taper this expansion by neutering the Min, but this was ineffective, as the Min were also capable of Asexual reproduction. By three months after the Min invasion, they had nearly twice as many members as the Zerri.

Reproductive Race Race

The two races then began a bitter battle to reproduce more, with the Zerri and Min both procreating at unprecedented rates.

The race race was ended when the weight of the billions of Min caused the hills they had civilized to collapse into the ocean, washing away their entire civilization in an instant. Roughly three Min survived and reproduced to a size of roughly two hundred thousand. The Zerri then forced these Min to vow to reproduce only once every three weeks, to prevent further environmental catastrophe.

Hal Goldbert’s Hatred of Min

Hal Goldbert hated the Min, and frequently massacred them when he came across them during trade expeditions. The Zerri High Queen did not support this, but she also did not move to prevent these massacres, either.

Tides of Zerrion

The Tides of Zerrion were extremely volatile and the weather could change quite suddenly. There was an extremely convoluted cycle to it all, and only the most intelligent of the Zerri, often known as the Whethermen, were able to understand and predict the weather of Zerrion.
