Overview
edit edit sourceThe Star-Torn were a race of celestial beings birthed from the fragmented body of the God of Creation, Lorkhan after his obliteration at the hands of the God of Time, Akatosh. The Star-Torn are known to have inherited the ability to create life, matter, and energy from their "father." It is also known that the Star-Torn were capable of changing their appearance using their powers of creation but little evidence exists to show that many of them did outside of their initial self-reformation as to not merely resemble a piece of Lorkhan. The Star-Torn are easily the largest Omniversal race known to have existed as they were capable of holding even the largest gas giant planets in the palms of their hands. They were also functionally immortal before most other Omniversal races were.
Early History
edit edit sourceAs mentioned earlier, The Star-Torn were first brought into the Omniverse following the death of the God of Creation, Lorkhan. It is unknown when this event took place exactly but it is believed to be around the years of 350 Nonillion BB to 270 Nonillion BB. The Star-Torn largely spent their lives creating different planets, stars, and lifeforms which dotted the Omniverse. Understandably, this may cause some confusion as the god Leosis was supposed to be creating planets and Kroasis was supposed to be making stars. However, it should be noted that at this point Kroasis had been murdered by the Bwemer and Leosis had long since consumed the Bwemer and disappeared to found the Restaurant at the End of the Omniverse. This left the Star-Torn as the sole surviving beings capable of creating new stars and planets. It should be noted that despite his Omniversal decree of outlawing the creation of new stars, The Author seemingly ignored the Star-Torn for unknown reasons, possibly understanding that their presence in the Omniverse allowed for new life to be created, which The Author would have undoubtedly been fine with.
Discovery of and Interactions with the Bordesians
edit edit sourceThis went on for millenniums until the Star-Torn came across a blooming civilization located in the Sol System, the Bordesians. The Star-Torn very rarely interacted with pre-existing lifeforms as they believed that any interaction with mortal lifeforms could lead to disastrous results. Despite this, the Star-Torn chose to interact with the Bordesians given that they had never observed anything quite like their civilization before. The Bordesians, despite their fear of the celestial planet-sized beings before them, eventually came to respect the Star-Torn and worshipped them as gods. The Bordesians constantly observed The Star-Torn, watching them create three separate planets which would be come to known as Venus, Saturn, and Nibiru. They also observed the Star-Torn populating two of these planets with sentient life, like themselves. Almost immediately, the Bordesians summoned the Star-Torn, seeking to learn the way to make planets and people. The Star-Torn however, believed that a mortal race would only bring destruction upon the Omniverse if they were allowed this power and as such denied the Bordesians the power to create planets. The Star-Torn soon left the Solar System afterward, their belief that interaction with mortal beings would only lead to negative outcomes vilified.
A Planet is Born
edit edit sourceThe Bordesians were heavily displeased with the Star-Torn's refusal to give them the power to make planets. Despite this, they pooled vast amounts of resources into constructing an artificial planet. This venture would turn out successful when the planet Neptune was forged after years of hard labor and scientific research. The Bordesians had however concealed a particularly nasty surprise within the artificial planet, that being a massive bomb the size of Earth. This bomb was in fact, part of a grand scheme devised by the Bordesians. They intended to once again summon the Star-Torn and present Neptune to them in a plea to show that they had earned the right to create real planets. And if the Star-Torn refused again, they would detonate the bomb and attempt to steal their power for themselves.
The Starforger War
edit edit sourceWhen the Bordesians summoned the Star-Torn again, they were met by 3 of the planet-makers and then they made their plea. During their speech, however one of the Star-Torn noticed the bomb within Neptune and they fled. The Bordesians attempted to detonate the bomb before the 3 Star-Torn could escape, but some moron had set the timer to negative infinity seconds instead of 10 seconds. This incident began a conflict known as The Starforger War where the Star-Torn, seeking to punish the Bordesians for attempting to murder three of them, fought against the Bordesians who sought to claim the Star-Torn's power for themselves. This conflict lasted several millenniums and saw the Bordesian Empire nearly be entirely wiped out. Their colonies on Mercury and Mars were entirely destroyed and Earth was effectively glassed, Only their homeworld of Bordesia remained, and here they made a decades-long last stand. Bordesia suffered greatly throughout the war, but their technological progress had only advanced even further during the war and eventually they developed a material made from the corpses of the weakest of the Star-Torn who only fell to the most hyperadvanced weaponry the Bordesians had: Starmetal. With this material they slew the last of the Star-Torn and then used parts of their corpses to adorn their original constructions on Neptune in starmetal, a testament to their victory. Despite this, the very last of the Star-Torn, who's name would be lost to time, fell to Earth. His barely-alive body was mangled from the bloody battle against the Bordesians and he knew he would soon die. But with the last of his power he created a new people to inherit the Earth, they would be immune to aging and he hoped that this gift, the gift of immortality, would give them the edge needed to avenge his people and destroy the Bordesians. In his dying moments he gave this race their new name: Humans.
Following the Starforger War the Bordesian Empire collapsed in on itself and the Bordesians took time to reflect on the heavy toll their people had taken. They had fought for millenniums, all for a power that they hadn't even gained by the end of it. The Bordesians soon reformed their values and settled for living a peaceful existence, dedicated to the gaining of knowledge, and they would limit themselves to their homeworld as a constant reminder of what their hubris had cost them. Unbeknownst to them however, the blood of the Star-Torn carried forbidden knowledge, knowledge that had been retained from the death of Lorkhan but had hidden itself inside the Star-Torn for an untold amount years. The Bordesians had absorbed the blood of the Star-Torn countless times to try to gain their power, but instead had only cursed themselves with the knowledge that would come to bring their undoing.
In the wake of the death of the last Star-Torn, many powerful beings sensed the power waiting to be consumed on Earth. However the God of Time, Akatosh refused to allow this power to fall into hands he could not immediately control. As such, he sent his firstborn, Ghydrah the Golden to claim the corpse of the last Star-Torn so that Akatosh could retain it. Ghydrah accepted this order but instead consumed the corpse of the Star-Torn and claimed the planet as his own. Akatosh was greatly displeased by this but he was also greatly disgusted by Ghydrah for the mockery of the great form he had gifted all his children, as such he permitted Ghydrah to rule over Earth so that he may never have to lay eyes on him again. Soon, Ghydrah made Earth a paradise for the children of Akatosh, the dragons, and they would be worshipped as gods for untold amounts of time.
