The Soviet Onion was a massive empire stretching across northern Europe and Asia, ruling from 98 BB to 29 BB, encompassing lands from the Mewkraine to the Pacific Oceoid. The 'Soviet' part of the name equates roughly to "Council" in galactic English; the "Onion" in the name is a reference to the large, Onion-shaped Home from which the ruler of the Soviet Onion operated and lived. It was succeeded by the Mushroom Federation.
