Bird Watch (TV Series)

Bird Watch was a popular bird watching series where bird watchers would tune in to channel 32 to watch exotic birds on a live feed in the Nebraska region. The series started as a live camera feed filming trees in the region via flock cameras in 10 A.B and the live feed would go on to be cut into compilations by editors, eventually reaching 32, 15 episode seasons with each episode running being 1-2 hours in length. The series would eventually end in 54 A.B when Steve Alkaline, the director and creative mind behind the series died suddenly at 12:32am from a medical episode brought on by previously diagnosed Ligma.

The series' final episode, S32E15: 19,000 Birds, is a 3 hour long special and a tribute to the director. It features a never-before-seen edit by the crew and was broadcast on April 11, 54 A.B. The special was shown with Bird Watch 3D glasses in theaters and features 19,000 birds from different locations on the map, shown in the format of the TV specials, and ends with an edit of the special. There were a total of 3400 different Nebraskan bird species featured in Bird Watch including but not limited to the Redwinged Pigeon, the Wafflemander, Duck Duck, Redbird, Blue, Tawny Frogmouth, the Blue Pumperdink Headscratcher and the Giant Hare.

In late 54 A.B, there was also a Bird Watch-themed game called The Humble Flight of the Spotted Cock which sold poorly. In 58 A.B, Steve Alkaline's estate would release an audio cassette of the entire series (1350hrs of bird call sounds from various Nebraskan avian species), but the product was quietly pulled from stores after poor sales.
