Nibiru VS. Nirn Incident

From The Rick Hernia Omniverse Wiki
Seconds before the Incident.

The Nibiru VS. Nirn Cataclysm was a destructive event involving the rogue planets Nirn and Nibiru.

About 50 years before the destruction of Gryphis Prime, Nibiru passed through the Magnus system. Within this system the former rogue planet Nirn, which discreetly housed Alduin the World Eater, had stabilized its orbit and life had returned to its surface.

Unfortunately for Nirn, the onboard AI system meant to guide Nibiru to a habitable star had selected Magnus as a acceptable candidate. This resulted in a rare moment where the jetstreams which propelled the Winged Star of Terror were switched off in order to allow the planet to enter a stable orbit.

Despite the AI’s best efforts, Nirn proved unavoidable in the achieving of a stable orbit and was caught in Nibiru’s gravitational field. This resulted in the Throat of the World, the highest peak in all of Tamriel, which was coincidentally pointed directly at Nibiru at this time, to be pulled directly out of the planet down to the core.

The Greybeards, who had coincidentally been out on a shopping trip, were not fond of having been essentially evicted. They did not have time to file a complaint with the Annunaki Complaint File Archive, as Alduin had seized this opportunity to break free of his planetary prison, proceeding to go on a rampage across Skyrim.

The Greybeards knew of Alduin’s enragement at being entrapped within Nirn itself for years on end, and swiftly summoned Marie Schrader, the last dragonborn (who had been living on Nirn ever since the death of her husband) as she was the only one capable of stopping him.

Alduin, enraged at both his imprisonment and the slow draining of his power by Marie for several years, sought out the God of Purple to challenge her. A quote from Alduin written down by a very terrified Proventus Avenicci goes as follows:

“You are persistent, Dovahkiin, yet your armies lay decimated from my power. Not even the Great MAGA King could contain me, and yet you believe you stand a chance? The last of your kind to face me died miserably, and was forgotten even by the people who claimed he was a hero. I am Alduin, Firstborn of Akatosh, Eater of Worlds, and now you and this sorry excuse of a prison will know destruction.”

Marie’s only response to this was to draw her sword, which Alduin took as an acceptance of his invitation to fight.

The fight between Marie and Alduin raged on for hours on end, taking both all over Skyrim. Neither one was able to best the other due to their inherited powers from Akatosh. Eventually, the battle reached the gate of the College of Winterhold. Alduin raised his wings in a position exactly similar to the method used at Washington D.C. when he shredded the Earth to ash. Marie was unaware of this incident, and charged forward to deliver a killing blow unto Alduin. Before Alduin could release his power, Marie’s blade met his chest which resulted in the energy being redirected through his chest rather than through his wings. The caused Alduin to reel in pain and destroy the College of Winterhold, vaporizing the building and everyone inside. Exhausted from his massive release of power, Alduin fell from the bridge to the cliffside below.

Marie eventually reached Alduin, and raised her sword, intending to kill him. However, just before the blade landed, Alduin regained consciousness and used the Thu’um of Unrelenting Force to blast Marie back. Taking this opportunity, Alduin flew off to space.

Marie quickly contacted Akatosh afterwards, informing him of Alduin’s escape. Akatosh thanked Marie for facing Alduin, and told her to rest for now as Alduin would be dealt with shortly.

Following Alduin’s escape, Nibiru left the Magnus system due to the mountain-sized thorn in it’s side leading the Annunaki AI to determine that it was no longer a suitable candidate for the Annunaki’s reawakening.
